I would like Son in Law Eggs please

Have you ever been reading a menu ( especially buffet menus where there is an endless list of food items with strange names that you have never heard) and asked yourself..now what is this????

These are four food items that I came across lately and found their names quite funny and interesting.

Son in law eggs: a Thai dish made of boiled, deep-fried eggs and served with sweet sauce.

Spotted Dick: a sweet, rich custard that is mixed with dried fruit such as raisins and currants and then steamed.

Bangers and Mash: a traditional English dish, bangers and mash is simply sausages and mashed potatoes.

Stinking Bishop:  Full fat pasteurised cows’ milk soft cheese made with vegetarian rennet. The rind is washed in perry which gives it its characteristic flavour, brown/pink rind and pungent smell. The cheese is supported with a beechwood lath and is wrapped in waxed paper.
