Veal Pockets and Maltese Honey Stir Fry

Another recipe from the newlywed 🙂

My dear friend shared with me another easy and delicious recipe that was highly successful especially in taste.

Veal pockets: Put a slice of ham or salami, a slice of your favourite cheese or grated cheddar on the veal, roll it and fasten the veal pocket using a toothpick. Cook the veal pockets on both sides for a few minutes (make sure you do not exceed ten minutes since this will dry the meat.)

Stir fry: If you have a good non stick frying pan you only need a drop of oil. Sauté the carrots and later add the courgettes and mushrooms as they need less cooking time. To increase flavour, add the juice of one orange and one teaspoon Maltese honey.

The colour and flavours of Maltese honey differ depending on the bees’ nectar source. In Malta you can find more than 20 unique kinds of honey. They derive from various floral sources like Eucalyptus and Orange Blossom. Honey light in colour tends to be mild in flavour; whilst honey that is dark in colour has a stronger flavour. Foreigners interested in this product can find Maltese honey available to buy online

The contributor also added some mashed potatoes to the dish.
